Foster Dickson: Kindling Not Yet Split

Foster Dickson is a writer, editor and teacher in Montgomery, Alabama. He is the author of three books: Kindling Not Yet Split (Court Street Press, 2002), I Just Make People Up: Ramblings with Clark Walker (NewSouth Books, 2009), and The Life and Poetry of John Beecher (Edwin Mellen Press, 2009), and the general editor of Treasuring Alabama's Black Belt (AUM/AHF, 2009).

Kindling Not Yet Split is a small chapbook of poems, published by Court Street Press in 2002 (ISBN: 1-58838-101-3). The book was the first volume in a series of books by the members of the Writers Group at the NewSouth Bookstore. The book is no longer in print. However, copies can be obtained by contacting Foster Dickson.

During the period when the book was in print, it received attention in First Draft, the magazine of the Alabama Writer Forum, and a good review in Big Muddy: A Journal of the Mississippi River Valley.
